I Have a Thing For Chandeliers

I went to the Brigham City Temple open house today. These pictures really don't do it justice. It's beautiful. Ok, I'm going to ramble a little bit about, so if you don't like architecture/interior design stuff feel free to stop reading. The whole temple is styled very much like the Salt Lake Temple, which I love. The color scheme was white, gold and peach. All through the temple, there were gold vases and gold framed mirrors that looked like they came out of Buckingham Palace. The moldings around the doors, oh I loved those. They were intricate, but not overbearing, and painted this nice, crisp white. The chandeliers in the ordinance rooms were fantastic. They were big, amber and just sparkling.  And the sealing room, I've never seen a more beautiful sealing room. When I saw the ceiling I just about died. Right above the altar is a big circle in the ceiling, painted blue with little Japanese cherry blossoms. Oh, it was beautiful. And the wallpaper. I'm not the biggest fan of wallpaper, I think it's overpowering. But this wallpaper was nice. There was a pattern, and it was a nice pattern, but the colors of the pattern and the background were so similar that you didn't really notice the pattern until you really looked at it. Oh, I loved that. Basically, the whole time I was walking through the temple I was thinking "Yeah, I picked the right major. By the time I get through with school, I'll be able make everything in this building and the building!" Ah, I can't wait.

Anyway, this is what I wore today. Not to the open house, after I got back. I have to clarify that because my regular outfits are other people's dressed up outfits. What can I say, I like skirts.
