October Is Coming

Today was a momentous day. It was finally cold enough for a cardigan AND leather boots! It was a very happy day. It was also a good day because I'm finally not sick anymore.

Right now I'm sitting in my kitchen, with two of my roommates and one of the guys from our FHE group. Everyone is having major struggles getting their homework done. Let me just say, they were right when they said college is nothing like high school. Allow me to further express my feelings through a picture.

High school was easy. College is work. It's tough. I'm getting demolished right now. I have so much going on and I feel so unprepared for all the midterms that I have coming up.

Today in my Book of Mormon class, my teacher warned us that October is the hardest month for students. That's when the excitement of being in college fades, people start to get sick, and the work starts to pile up. He warned us not to let that happen to us and to be especially aware of other students during October. Because that's when people are really going to need help. This past week, with everyone in my dorm getting sick and tests coming up, I definitely believe him. I love October. It's my favorite season, and my birthday and Halloween. But this year I think it's going to be a little more challenging of a month than normal. Thank goodness for Sunday naps. Those will have to keep me going.
