Beginners Makeup Haul

So, for the past couple months, I've been really getting into watching beauty and makeup youtubers, girls like Tanya Burr, Zoella, and Vivianna Does Makeup, to name my top three. And I've been loving these videos, they're so fun to watch for some reason, probably because those people are all super cute and I love girly stuff. But as I've been watching their videos I've realized that I have about a kindergartners' level of knowledge when it comes to makeup. I've just always done very basic makeup. But lately I've been feeling like I'm missing out, so I've decided to try and pay more attention to my makeup.

So yesterday I went out and got a whole bunch of new products to try. Since I don't exactly have a ton of money to just throw around, I got most of my stuff from e.l.f. which is a great, super affordable (like most of the stuff I bought was $2-$3) makeup brand. I got a ton of stuff, and only paid about $50 for all of it.

I went a little overboard on the blush and bronzer, but these were two products that I've never tried before because I didn't think I had the skin for them, since I've got such red cheeks and pale skin. But I've decided to try them out. I got a couple different shade of each, as well as a couple different types of cream blush, which I didn't know existed until a couple months ago.
I also found this tone correcting palette and thought I'd give it a try to see if it could help even out my skin tone.

Ok, can I be honest? I find eyeliner super intimidating. It's always been a makeup product that has kind of terrified me. I've never been good at applying it and always end up either smearing it all over my eyes or looking like a goth. But I've decided to give it another try. I got a liquid and a cream eyeliner, to see which is easiest to apply.
I'm also trying out a new mascara, which Tanya Burr was raving about in one of her videos.

My eyebrows, let's talk about my eyebrows. Oh how they drive me crazy. I've never really felt satisfied with the way my eyebrows look. They are very full and very unruly, and I can never seem to get the shape I want. So I really wanted to try some new eyebrow products, I got some gels, some powders and an eyebrow pencil.

Lipstick and lip gloss are two products that I was already very familiar with and fond of, so of course I had to pick up a couple! I got a cute pink shade which I feel like will be perfect for a natural summer look, and a more interesting darker shade to play around with. Plus, the concealer I got, since I forgot to stick it in the skin products picture. Hooray for getting rid of those dark circles under my eyes!

I also bought brushes, because I've never actually used make-up brushes before, but I felt like I'd feel more professional if I did. And, you know, maybe be able to put on my makeup better. I just went for one of each size and function. Thank goodness they label these things or I would be clueless.
