Beginner's Makeup: Eyebrows

I know it may seem strange to devote an entire blog post to eyebrows, but I have a lot to say on the subject. If I were given the option of changing one part of my appearance, I would definitely change my eyebrows. They are naturally very thick, with little to no shape, and have always been my biggest beauty battle. It has taken me a long time and a lot of trial and error to figure out how to take care of my eyebrows and make them look presentable. I've still got a long way to go before I reach eyebrow perfection, but these are the products I've used that have helped me the most.

e.l.f. Eyebrow Kit

I used this brow kit basically all spring and summer. The gel side of the kit gives you a really full brow look, while the powder gives a more natural look. The powder especially was great in the summer, since my hair was lighter and I didn't want a really dark, full brow.

Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil

This is my go to when I need really full, perfectly shaped brows. What I love most about this pencil is that it gives me the most control over how I do my brows, it's really easy to shape brows with this. It's also the product that definitely delivers the most full, colored in look. It can come off as a little too much for normal day to day wear, so I tend to only use this when I want to look really done up, such as when I'm going to a party or an important meeting.

Maybelline Brow Drama Brow Gel

This is the most minimal, natural looking brow product. It's just a translucent gel, so it doesn't really fill in brows, but it does keep them in place, which is great for unruly brows like mine. Normally I'll use a different brow product to fill in my brows and then finish them off with this to keep them in place.

Pixi Brow Duo in Deep Brunette

This is my most recent find and it's probably my favorite. One side is like a brow pencil, which I use to fill in my brows. It's easy to fill in and shape brows. The other side is a tinted gel, so I use it to set my brows in place. It creates a nice finished look, that's soft and natural looking.

So there you have some insight into my eyebrow routine. I hope this gave you some ideas for products to try, and definitely let me know what works for you, I'm always looking for something new to try!
