Five Go To Summer Outfits

Summer is one of my favorite seasons, specifically because of all the fun things that summer involves. There's always fireworks, vacations, and lots of family gatherings that involve grilling food. Today I'm using the summer capsule wardrobe I put together to show you five of my go to outfits for all the fun summer occasions out there.

Day of Sightseeing

Top- H&M
Pants- Modcloth
Shoes- Vans

Spending a day out exploring a new city, there are two important things to remember- good walking shoes, and an outfit I won't mind getting photographed in a million times. These shoes are comfortable enough to walk around in all day, and the outfit is lightweight and comfortable.

Day of Traveling

Dress- Roolee
Sandals- Modcloth

Vacations are great, but getting to your vacation normally means being cramped up in a small space for hours. I like to be as comfortable as possible, but I also don't want to look like I just dragged myself out of bed. Wearing a dress gives the illusion that I'm all dressed up, when this thing really feels like wearing pajamas. It won't wrinkle, it's comfortable, and it will still look nice when I finally arrive at my destination.

Day of Parades and BBQs

Top- Aeropostale
Jeans- Gap
Sandals- Modcloth

All the holidays and family cookouts are one of the best parts of summer. Casual outfits that will withstand the heat and do well sitting around a picnic table in the park. Jeans and a top are an obvious choice. I love this top because it's a little more dressed up than a tee shirt, but still casual. And these jeans are quickly becoming my favorite, because they're so easy to move in, and fit like a dream.

Day of Camping

Top- Target
Jeans- Gap
Jacket- Thrift store
Shoes- Vans

A camping trip isn't really the place to put on a fashion show, but I still like to look nice, even if all I'm doing is sitting around a campfire. This shirt and these jeans are durable enough to withstand all the outdoor activities involved in camping. Adding a leather jacket not only protects against the cool mountain air, but also pulls the outfit together.

Day of Wedding Festivities

Top- H&M
Skirt- Downeast
Sandals- Modcloth

Summer is definitely wedding season. I feel like every other weekend I've got a wedding to go to. It's really excited to see so many friends starting an exciting part of life. This pencil skirt is a great combination of interesting textures, and the light color keeps it from being too formal. A light, breezy blouse continues the light color scheme.

I hope these outfits give you inspiration for all your summer activities!
