August Favorites

This month was a crazy one! Between our two week vacation back east, and starting my new internship, I feel like all our normal routines and habits have been thrown out the window. In the midst of all these new changes, I've been turning to the same clothes and makeup to save me time, and help me manage all the changes. These are the ones I've been loving the most!

Athens Dress- The Stockplace
Bomber jacket- H&M

This dress and this jacket have been on constant repeat this month. The dress is so light and airy; it's such a great summer dress, and I think I've worn it to church almost every single week. And this jacket was such a fun find. It's a little wild looking, but it works so well with so many other pieces in my closet, so I've been pairing it with everything. It's also very lightweight, which makes it perfect for the slightly chilly nights we've started to get.

Makeup & Skincare & Hair

I'm lumping it all together this month because I've got something from each! A lot of these products come from the sample boxes I subscribe to- Ipsy and Birchbox. I've really liked getting some samples every month, and I'll be doing a post about it in a couple weeks so stay tuned!

Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle- As you know, I've made a lot of changes to my hair in the last few months, and so it's not in very good shape. This leave-in conditioner has been making such a difference. I've been spraying it on my hair after I wash it, and not only has it made detangling my hair much easier, it's also really helped my hair feel stronger and more hydrated. It's also color safe, so I don't have to worry about it damaging my hair color. I got it as a sample in one of my boxes, but I love it so much that I've bought the full size version. It's the only sample I've re-purchased so far, because it's that good!
Ole Hendriksen Roll On Acne Clearing Solution- I've been getting an annoying amount of breakouts lately, and I've been trying a lot of different spot treatments to get rid of them. This one is by far my favorite. It works really quickly, my spots were gone in a couple days after I started using this. And it's also so easy to apply the right amount to the right area, because all you have to do is roll it on.
The Balm Matt(e) Trimony Eyeshadow- I was really unsure about this at first, because it's red, and I have never even thought of using red eyeshadow. But I've really loved it. The consistency makes it really easy to blend, and I love the color. I've found red eyeshadow can be substituted for brown really easily. It gives more color and pop than brown, so somehow it seems very summer appropriate.
Physician's Formula Butter Bronzer- It smells like coconut and it doesn't stand out like a big brown streak on my pale skin. I love it and use it every day.
Marcelle Curling and Lengthening Mascara- I love the shape of the brush the most, with this mascara. The brush is curved, so it does an amazing job at grabbing all your lashes at once, especially the ones on the outer corner of the eyes. My lashes always turn out beautifully curled and lifted when I use this.
Ofra Lip Liner in Silk- This is a really pretty shade, a light nude pink, with the smallest hint of lavender. I love putting it all over my lips when I want to add a little color. And I know that it will stay on all day!
Sephora Gel Gloss in Pin-up Pink- I've really liked bright pink lips lately, and this lipgloss is so easy to apply and stays for so long, it's definitely become my go to.
Laura Geller Color Luster Lip Gloss in Cookie Dough- Can you tell I've really been liking lip gloss lately? This shade is just a bit darker than my natural lip color, so I've been reaching for it on almost a daily basis.

Wow, this list ended up being a little longer than I expected it would be, but as you can tell, I've found some really great essentials this month.
