Looks For Less: Embroidered Button Up

I thought I'd share a project I've been working on lately. The idea came from a shirt from ASOS.

I love slogan shirts and I love embroidery, so I really loved this combination of the two. But I didn't want to pay $60 for a shirt, and I thought it would be fun to pick my own slogan.

So I went to a thrift store and found a white button up that I liked, and decided on a slogan. The phrase comes from a shirt worn at a music festival from the 70s. And I thought it would be fun to pair a rock and roll slogan with a cursive print.

So in the end, the cost was $6 for the shirt and $2 for the thread. It took me about four hours to embroider the slogan. So, much less expensive and much more fun to do it myself.
